: How can I confirm if it is the board or the
: sensor? Are there schematic diagrams
: available for the 11205 board? Thanks.the easiest way to confirm is to purchase a new sensor...they're aprox. $30.00
The circuit board manufacturer would never release the schematic.
Your problem may also be from an erratic potentio meter on the circuit board. the High Limit setting may be jumping up and down causing your HL to trip every now and again, which in turn causes your power light to blink.
Get a digital volt meter and set it on 2 or 20 DC volt then connect the black lead on the ground pin at the J3 location on the board and the red lead to the HL pin. This will give you a reading of what the HL is set for. It should be set for anywhere from 114 to 116. Give or take a few degrees. Monitor it for a while and see if the setting comes down quite a bit, if it does then I would put my money on the circuit board. You can do this same test by placing the red lead on the SN pin. this will tell you what your sensor is reading at the time. It should always be within a few degrees of the actual water temp. If the sensor reads way below actual water temp then the sensor is the problem. Good Luck.
