I think you might have bought time. The switch has to but in the direction of the water flow, meaning when water is flowing, the switch is vertical, so the tub thinks water is flowing. I think if you could temporarily run the tub w/out it it wouldnt be too bad, but you do want that switch operational, because w/ it not, "if" your recirc pump died, and the heater ran, you'd have HOT HOT water in the line, not pumping around in the water and potential fire, from what I gathered by my online searches. John told me my temp wire is supposed to be on the right end wire the plug, and they are not, mine is totally messed up, I'm not sure how its running but it is. But my flow switch now works, and I think you should have it operational just for safety.

: I think everything is working now. I FINALLY
: got ahold of someone who would help me at
: the dealer (they seem very excited about
: scheduleing visits, but helping over the
: phone is just not thier thing). I found out
: what and where the flow switch is located
: and unhooked the wires from it. As soon as i
: did this the FLO message went away and every
: thing was operational. i then removed the
: flow switch and cleaned it off becuase i had
: a 'dusty film' on the metal tab. i then
: reinserted it and hooked the wires back up.
: the message reappeared. soooo i then turned
: the switch about 90 degrees in it's threads.
: the FLO message went away. i then turned it
: back so that the arrow on switch pointed in
: the water flow direction and everything is
: still working throughout the night and today
: (Huraaaaaahhhhhh....knock on all the wood i
: can find). i even fiddled with lowering the
: temp over night because that brought the FLO
: message everytime prior to fiddling with the
: flow switch. the temp of the tub lowered
: without any messages or issues. I don't know
: how the flow switch works, but after i
: cleaned it and swivled it in its threads a
: bit, the messages is gone. Can anyone
: explain this. could it really be fixed or
: have I just bought myself time before i have
: to buy a new switch?: I'm a little gun shy on celebrating at this
: point.
