Air is drawn in at the gaps between the plumbing lines. You may want to investigate whether this is a vibration or a noise issue. Vibration would be tackled in a different manner. A noise issue may require putting a fence between you and the nosy neighbor.

: How does the air get in to circulate around the
: motor when it is encased in foam? I dont
: want to run the risk of it overheating so
: should I leave a gap somewhere for air to
: get in?
