Well, you don't want to disturb the air flow through the Hydromate or you risk overheating the motor (even with it's built in heat exchanger). It is already encased within a hard foam shell, so I don't know if you can dampen the sound much more anyway. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try though. Good luck.
