Well, you don't want to disturb the air flow through the Hydromate or you risk overheating the motor (even with it's built in heat exchanger). It is already encased within a hard foam shell, so I don't know if you can dampen the sound much more anyway. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try though. Good luck.

: Was really looking forward to soaking in the
: tub tomorrow, now that I know its working
: ok, so switched it on and left it running.
: A few hours later I got a knock on the door
: from my old bat of a next door neighbour.
: Apparently the noise of the motor was so loud
: that it was shaking the walls of her house!!
: even in her bedroom which is the complete other
: side of the house. She then threatened to
: phone the council and complain about the
: noise pollution!
: Its obviously complete nonsense, she just likes
: to have something to moan about but, being a
: considerate guy, I turned it off.

: I'm starting to think I will never get to use
: this tub. Am going to try getting soam foam
: to put around the motor box to muffle the
: sound, do you think that will help?
