Was really looking forward to soaking in the tub tomorrow, now that I know its working ok, so switched it on and left it running.
A few hours later I got a knock on the door from my old bat of a next door neighbour.
Apparently the noise of the motor was so loud that it was shaking the walls of her house!!
even in her bedroom which is the complete other side of the house. She then threatened to phone the council and complain about the noise pollution!
Its obviously complete nonsense, she just likes to have something to moan about but, being a considerate guy, I turned it off.I'm starting to think I will never get to use this tub. Am going to try getting soam foam to put around the motor box to muffle the sound, do you think that will help?
: OK. I just finished chuckling a bit at your
: expense. The Softub does not have a heater
: per se. Instead, the Softub's have a heat
: exchanger wrapped around the motor (this can
: be good or bad) that collects the heat from
: the motor running and transfers it to the
: water. The end result is the tub must run
: continuously for a day or more in order to
: fully heat. So the short answer is leave it
: running. Send me another message if it
: overheats, but I think you are all set now.: John
