The first thing to do is get rid of the chlorine tablets and get some sodium dichlor instead. The tablets you have are probably sodium trichlor, which is not recommended for hot tub use at all and is particularly bad for the vinyl surface of the Softub. Even with sodium dichlor, you want to be moderate with the amount of chlorine you use.

: Hurrah!
: finally got the tub working, it was one of the
: relay switches. Found this out by doing as
: you suggested n1oty, tested power going to
: motor whilst switched on, nothing there at
: all, so gave one of the relay boxes a tap
: with a screwdriver and it whirred into
: action, kept cutting out but every time I
: tapped the box it started up again.: Now that its working, all I need now is advice
: on how to maintain the water, got a big tub
: of chlorine tablets and a floating dispenser
: for them, as well as some test strips.
: What else do I need to do? and how often?
: Whats the best way to get the dirt and grit up
: from the bttom of the tub?
: Thanks, John.
