I have a master spa with eco-pur filter and the company recommends keeping the chlorine at 1ppm instead of the usual 3-5ppm. I use a non-chlorine shock but didn't realize that it still raises the chlorine reading for some reason. I think that was why the reading went so high, I shocked with non-chlorine shock one day then added chlorine the next. All is fine now. Thanks much for the advice.
: 2 tablespoons isnt an excessive amount....i use
: 3 tablespoons to shock so just consider the
: tub shocked for the week. if you want to
: leave the tub uncovered for an hour or maybe
: draw off some of the water and replace it,
: thats another way too. but 2 tablesppons is
: NOTHING to worry about. just a question,
: what regiment are you using on your tub and
: how much do you normally use to shock
: weekly??
