Well, a pump/motor works a lot harder when full of water. In order to determine whether the problem is in the electronics or the water, I need to know whether or not full voltage is being delivered to the motor. If you have full voltage when the motor fails, the motor is the culprit. If you do not have full voltage, the problem resides in the electronics.

I suggest removing the top of the Hydromate, hooking the pump to the tub, filling the tub and trying to run in place. By opening the top of the pack beforehand, you can take your voltage tests as needed.
