Thank you all for your responses - and I'm sorry that I can't answer your technical questions - but I will go home and read my manual and try and figure out the answers. Our filter is blue, but I'm not sure of the type.

Coincidentally, after I posted this question yesterday I stopped and talked to a local pool/spa supply dealer and he recommended the Nature2 system over the Bromine. Then I read the response to my question with the same suggestion. It is something we are definitely considering.
