I am very partial to the Balboa controllers with M7 technology (essentially no pressure switch). They have complete packs with or without motors and blowers. You also get quite a choice among top control panels on the higher end M7's, such as the M7B and M7C. The 2 year warranty doesn't hurt either.

: John,
: I agree completely. I plan to replace the
: mechanicals (Control Unit, Pump, Heater); I
: have just been debating about the topside
: controls. Although the digital/electronic
: controls give you better control of your
: spa; keeping the "retro"
: pneumatics seems to fit with the vintage
: spa. More than likely, I will replace
: everything; that way I will not have to
: worry about anything going out in the near
: term.

: On a side note, is there a particular
: aftermarket control systemthat youhave had
: good luck with? There are quite a few
: options out there. I would prefer to
: purchase the entire unit, ready to plumb in
: my tub.

: Thanks for all of your great advice on this
: site.

: Jeff
