Thanks for the info, thought I'd have a go myself, took the casing apart and the inside around the motor was full of mud!
Cleaned as much as I could off and tried the shaft, it seemed to spin freely so I tried plugging it in again, the motor started, the shaft span, but not for long (bit longer than last time), then exactly the same thing happened, tripped the kill switch. When I tried again the shaft was trying to turn a little every time but didnt quite manage more than half a turn.
Gave it all a good spray with some WD40 oil and have now left it to soak in.
Where do I go from here?
