From what it looks, the pump on the cyprus is up to 2Hp, although the owners manual posted on line : http://www.strongpools.com/pdfs/Cyprus2_15_06.pdf

states that when converting to 220 the heater is converted to 4kw, but the pump stays at 120V. So at about 15 amps max your right ..will be lucky to get to 1.5 hp. What I like is the heater can come on when pump is in low speed. This is a small 3 to 4 person tub that holds about 125-175 gallons only though, so hopefully the jets will do a good enough job. I bought this with the understanding it is an "entry-level" tub which I sense is much better quality compared to the spa-wouldU-couldU-in a box or Spa2go,Smarttub etc.and the other rotational molded spas i.e.Dreamaker (hot stick technology)as well as all the soft tub entries( didn't want floor seating).I have cruised the net for the last 3 weeks in search of a portable tub and even visited a local spa's battle of the tubs in Rockingham NH, which featured the hot springs brands. They were selling 06 Grande's for 10k! ,nice price*. I wanted the Sovereign selling for 7k but it would've seriously soaked my wallet. I would hate to invest that amount and then find it doesn't fit our lifestyle, doesn't get used etc. which made me purchase a teaser tub. Hopefully I made a good choice, I feel good about the company I am dealing with and will fill ya'll in on the experience once it arrives, anywhere from 12-20 days from now > Happy Tubbin'
