Fried sovereign heater.....please help !

Yes, I forgot to turn off my heater before I drained my 2001 Hot Springs Sovereign.I refilled and it is not heating quickly. What would be the most economical solution ( after market sugestions) and is doing it myself that hard. Do I have to drain my brand new fill? Any advice woul be gteatly appreciated.
