When I had the first pad I had poured put in, I was very upset as it rained almost constantly for the next week or two and my spa's arrival was delayed until the pad was 18 days old as a result...it turned out to be a good thing as two years later, no cracks have appeared...and last year, I bought a gazebo and decided it needed to be further away from the back of the house and had the pad doubled in size...the gazebo wasn't delivered to me on time and the new concrete had about 35 days before the spa was moved over and the gazebo installed over it and it's fine...no cracks...and it rained one heck of a lot on it in that month's time. If it is going to rain in this area, May is going to be the time it happens...
So...that's my story and I'm sticking to it...
The people on this board who have written in to complain of cracked concrete have different stories...and they don't include a happy smiley at the bottom...![]()
