I didnt get over there to pull the motor since we had sleet and rain today but I was wondering something before I do.

what are my options here. If the shaft is free then what exactly do I do next. Then if it is locked up, what do I do then. Is this either way basically what happends when you need a new motor? Its been running basically for 4yrs now and it is a smaller motor. I am assuming the worst case scenario is just a new one. I am not into completely overhauling a motor. I can change external parts, etc easily but I dont want to make this a week long ordeal. I guess I am just hoping that this is simple. It is cold out side. LOL.. Not quite cold enough to worry about the tub yet but Ina few days we are going to get a 12-15deg night. Other than that we are only hitting 25-29 for lows.

Thanks again for any help. I just want to know what I am getting into BEFORE I get there.
